Mountain Guide Course
NNMGA Mountain Guide Course Introduction Mountain guide exam could consist of one module in winter season, giving a total of 15 training days. This proposed plan does not include the approach or the return. The dates of the courses are to be reconfirmed internally while, in the main, respecting the accepted dates. Progressiveness in the training programme will allow the trainees to complete their mountain guide exam with the mountaineering module last; close to the reality of the profession. The trainee completes his/her Aspirant Guide Course with all three components. Successful trainees will return two years later in February to pass his Mountain Guide exam. Before enroll in Mountain Guide Course The Aspirant Guide should exercise on : 2 trekking peak ascents (NMA list) 1 expedition style ascent with at least two camps in altitude 8 days of ascents (without clients) on all type of terrain Date: 1/15 Feb 2013 Course length: 15 days Rest day: 1 day every week Location: alpine peak bellow 6000m with glacier, snow, ice, rock and mixed route Periodic refreshment training consist of single schedule on 4 training days. NNMGA mountain guides must have to attain the periodic refreshment training within every three years cycle to refresh their technical skills and to adopt new techniques and regulation for Mountaineering Guiding arena. This is the mandatory provision for all NNMGA guides. Guides who do not attain the periodic refreshment training, his/her license should be confiscated.
